# YouTube

Launch a YouTube quest with **`/youtube`**.

## Required input

* **`video_link`** – YouTube video URL.
* **`duration`** – How long the quest stays claimable (1h / 4h / 6h / 12h / 24h / 48h / 72h).

### Supported URL formats

* `https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIDEO_ID`
* `https://youtu.be/VIDEO_ID`
* `https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=VIDEO_ID`
* `https://youtube.com/live/VIDEO_ID`
* `https://youtube.com/shorts/VIDEO_ID`

## What members do

When a YouTube quest is posted, members must complete every YouTube task to claim their points:

* Subscribe to the channel
* Like the video
* Leave a comment

Once they've done all three, they hit the **Verify** button under the quest. Engage checks the video against their connected YouTube account (`/set youtube`) and awards the configured points.

## Setup steps for users

#### Connect YouTube

Run `/set youtube account:<your-youtube-handle>` once. Your YouTube account is global across servers.

#### Open the quest

Click the YouTube link in the quest embed and complete the three tasks (subscribe, like, comment).

#### Verify

Click the **Verify** button on the quest embed. Points are awarded once Engage confirms all tasks.
